Český Krumlov in the spring . . .

Our spring weather is pleasant, with temperatures in March ranging from 9-17 degrees Celsius. In April, it can warm up quickly to 20 degrees. There are also frequent spring rains. Flowering trees and shrubs give the city a fresh atmosphere, and visitors spending the night will enjoy listening to beautiful bird songs every morning.

The city is not yet full of tourists, and therefore there aren’t as many special cultural events during this season. But each week there is at least one theatrical performance or concert. Restaurants and pubs are also open. The interior of the castle is open to visitors beginning April 1. For visitors arriving before that, the castle museum located in the so called “small castle with the tower” is open year-round.The exhibition in the museum includes a cross-section of the overall history of the castle, from the Vítkovci and the Rožmberks, to the 20th century. The variety of exhibits will help you go back in time and learn about our beautiful medieval city.
